Get your bags packed, it's time for a vacation.  The Naks headed up North to Ottertail to a nice getaway.  We swam, ate, relaxed, golfed, ate some more, swam some more, and had a lovely time away from anything resembling work.  The girls enjoyed the water and extra attention and were sad to see it come to an end.

We also made a quick stop at Grandpa Rod's childhood home.  We got to play with all sorts of old toys, visit Chief Wenonga, and run around.

Nina has hit the "why" stage for the first time.  We think someone at daycare says it, so now she does, since she never actually cares about your response.  Another funny phrase she's repeated to us occasionally is, "do me a favor..."  What a gal.

Vivian is continuing to grow.  She still loves to babble and currently loves to look at her hands and feet and suck her thumb, picking up another Nak trait.  Time for MEA!

Three Months

Vivian's third month has been a fun developmental phase as she is sleeping better, trying to talk, and smiling a lot.  She giggles from time to time and likes to snuggle.  She enjoys daycare, watching other kids, going outside, bath time, and being swaddled.

Back to Como... while we can!

The Naks have been enjoying this burst of warm weather and have gotten out for a few walks.  Both girls seem to enjoy the lake and the trees.  Nina also enjoys that there is no music, because now she can get on stage.  She got up to sing a song and had Kara introduce her, "Here comes the one and only Nina Nakagaki!"  Nina quickly froze from stage fright and curled into a little ball.  She then realized another problem with her first concert and told us, "My no have microphone; my have acorns."  She then decided she wanted Mom to sing instead and had to ask, "Mama, you Nakagaki?"  Vivian and Dad enjoyed the show.
