Where did July go!?
Nina has been keeping busy these days. She visited Annie and Adam's, hung out with the Nak Grandparents, went to the Cathedral, Roseville Central Park, the Javatrain Cafe, and Mama's Pizza Parlor. Nina's 3 favorite games so far are:
1) Spitting out her pacifier even though she really wants it
2) Scratching her own face when she gets excited
3) Kicking off any blanket that tries to cover her legs

4 years!
Not Nina, although she is growing quickly, but Kara and Ben's Fourth Anniversary. We enjoyed walking around the Como Conservatory and ate at Pad Thai on Grand (one of our favs). Nina was a trooper for all the romance. Nina is using her hands more (especially her left), loves her pacifier, and wants her face cleaned whenever she ever burps.

We love summer
The Naks have been hanging out and enjoying their summer. We've been sleeping in, visiting with friends, sitting outside, reading, and watching the Twins. We've gone for a few walks and enjoyed today's fantastic, less humid, weather. Sorry, I don't know why the picture below won't rotate properly, I've tried 4 things and have given up.

More new friends
Nina made her first trip to church and barely made it 4 feet before she was fought over by friends who have been waiting for her arrival. She met many loving new faces and was excited to see many other young children at St. Philip's. She spent the afternoon with Emily Kaiden and rewarded Emily with many waking hours and showed off her eyes. Then we joined Suzanne & Ben, Kayla & Matthew, Laura and Ellen at Ol' Mexico for a beautiful night on the patio. Today she met her first animal friend as the neighbor cat patrolled the yard and stood guard. Nina has been sleeping pretty well and has been awake more during the day, we hope it keeps up.

Grand Ave & Flugtag
The Naks have been busy getting back out into the world. Wandering Grand Ave on Friday and touring some family favorites like Grand Ole Creamery, Ten-Thousand Villages, and the Red Balloon Book Shop. Update for Aunt Cassie, Nina wore her "All you need is love" onesie today, but does not have the Abby Road outfit. ;)
Saturday was a trip to see the Red Bull Flugtag (flight day) where crazy people basically make parade floats and hurl themselves into the water. Not a lot of engineering going on, but we apparently saw the Red Bull World Record flight. Pretty funny, pretty sunny, and good friends made for a wonderful time.

Missing her Mommy pt. II
It's now Kara's turn to miss her mom as Jenni, a rock in the upbringing of Nina, left today after changing countless diapers, taking millions of midnight watches, and washing load after load of laundry. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Nina has enjoyed meeting the wonderful Judy Lykins, the fantastic Emily Sandager, and the amazing Amanda Oklobzija in the past few days. Nina got her tears and some oils in these days and seems to enjoy her "strawberry fields forever" onesie. While she may not be able to see as far as the tv, Nina got excited at the red bull commercial for the flying machines exhibition at Harriet Island on Saturday, so maybe we'll check it out.

2 weeks old!
Nina had a nurse's visit today and she weighs 9 lbs 7 oz! In today's pictures she is showing off a few firsts. Her first yard project was helping her grandpa and dad put in a new hedge in front of the house. Her first trip to Como Lake also featured her first concert as the Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphony lulled her to sleep.
