Make waves

Here's a video recap of the swimming lessons that Pip just completed.  She really enjoyed the class!  Now both girls have been asking for more lessons, which is a good thing considering how much we plan to swim this summer.  Despite the lifeguards wearing sweatshirts, we've already been to the pool twice.

We've had fun visiting some graduation parties and two weekend festivals.  It seems that even without taking regular naps, the girls are transitioning to summer mode of staying up too late.  We've tried to tire them out with the Children's Museum, Water Fest at Phalen, the Ordway's Children Festival, but yet they continue on.  Fortunately, it's been mostly too many giggles at bedtime.

The final chapters of the school year

As summer approaches, many of our current activities are coming to an end.  Dance ended last week and the video of the performance is above.  Nina also had her last day of preschool for this year.  She enjoyed making new friends, doing the art projects, and when asked, she said her favorite things she learned about were "transportation, planets, and tooth decay."  What a vast array of information.  Pip has one swimming lesson left and has done a great job.  We're looking forward to summer, but enjoying the end of our current year.

Girls just wanna have fun

We're pumped to have had some beautiful spring weather this month and lot of reasons for fun.  Nina had her first dance recital and did a great job.  She followed directions and kept a smile.  Pip shouted, "That's my sister!" and waved hello to her throughout.  

We're starting to get ready for summer and we've started some of those regular activities.  We've been to music in the park, played in the sprinkler, had ice cream and have picked a lot of dandelions. Nina is just as obsessed with them as when she was 1.  

Moms

Happy Mother's Day to all out there.  We were excited to celebrate our weekend with Nana in town.  The girls liked showing off their bike-riding, art-work, and random stories for her.

Also a special Mother's Day wish to Aunt Annie who became a mother of two with the birth of baby Charlie.   Pip was especially excited to meet him and he couldn't be any cuter.

Biker girls

The girls are getting so big!  Nina started riding a bike without training wheels this week!  She had been riding with training wheels, then, when Pip started using the strider bike, Nina tried that out a couple of times and got her balance figured out.  With some help at Barb's, Nina has started cruising and asks to ride every day.  Here's a look at their epic milestone.

Also, we're all thrilled to welcome cousin/nephew Charlie!  He joined the family on Thursday morning, and he's wonderful.  Congratulations to Adam, Annie, and Maggie!  Pictures to come!
