Mixed Signals

Nina and Dad were laughing and both trying to make the same face for the camera, but couldn't get on the same page. By the end they were close, but oh well.

The family went for a walk yesterday, and, despite the large amount of sunshine, a strong wind brought in rain and hail. Nina checked out in her well-protected stroller and took a nap while mom and dad got a bit wet while finding cover until the storm passed. Nina is starting to really enjoy her baths and was upset today when we took her out.

Gone daddy, gone

Ben went back to work, but the fam closed his "summer" out with a bang. Nina got to hang out with lots of friends and enjoyed trips to Snuffy's and the 5-8 Club. She turned 8 weeks old today and likes standing on tables while we hold her upper body.

DC Invasion

Many friends are in town for Patti and Vern's wedding and it gave Nina a chance to meet new friends and hang out with some family. She enjoyed being held by both tall Adams. Thanks to Annie for taking some nice family photos.

Nina has been busy trying to pack in more fun before dad goes back to school. She went down to O-town to visit Grandma Katie and Grandpa Rod and meet a bunch of their friends. If Nina makes a facebook page, the picture above is going to be her profile pic ;) She enjoyed everyone and was tuckered out for the car rides.

The next day Nina had a check-up and weighed in at 11 lbs. 5 oz. She's above the 75th percentile in height and weight; we'll see how long that remains. It was so nice outside that we celebrated Nina's good disposition about her 2-month shots by going to the zoo and conservatory. She decided to sleep through the entire trip.

Birthday Party!

Nina got invited to her first birthday party. Young Jimmy turned 1 and was interested to see Nina again. She had a very fun time and stared confusedly at all the boys running around.

Family & Smiles

Nina has been busy and enjoying her time with all family. She won every bet horseracing with Annie, Adam, and Harry, she talked and kicked with Rick and Jenni, and then relaxed and walked with Katie. All this fun makes for a happy baby!

Talkin kickball

Nina was excited for her first trip to kickball and was talking to dad about it (that or sticking her tongue out at him to add to her pouting repertoire). She has been moving her mouth, making plenty of noises and is starting to discover that she can control her feet and arms.
