Busy, busy, busy

It's been an action-packed weekend and Nina has been having quite a bit of fun. She's visited with a lot of people. She started the weekend by winning big at turkey bingo. Many thanks to the Tranby family and little Everett for the invite and congrats to baby Lucy who was also a winner.

The photo below is from brunch with some Young Life friends and their little ones too --Gretchen Merritt's Logan (born 4 days earlier than Nina) and Katie Schmidt's Britta (almost 7 months; check out her awesome sitting-up skills). They had an excellent time together. She's sporting her Swiss sweater in the photo on the right, thanks to Grandpa Rod and Grandma Katie. Nina cherished time with them while mom and dad went to the terrific new Harry Potter movie with Aunt Annie and Uncle Adam.

The tooth is still cutting through and Nina is confused by some her new teething toys. She's had more fun in her bumbo lately too, especially when she's worn out from her workouts in the johnny-jump-up. Thanks Jess!

More photos and stories from the busy weekend will follow. Stay tuned...

Jump-Up Video

Here's a video of Nina showcasing her johnny-jump-up skills as well as another odd, new trick featured at the end of the movie. She loved looking around during a trip to Target yesterday and then was pretty tired after all the jumping.

Last blog post, we mentioned Nina might be getting teeth in the next month or so... well, it looks like we overestimated the time, as one of her bottom teeth is already starting to break through. AUGH, she's growing so quickly!

The snow makes ya wanna... JUMP JUMP

Nina has a lot of new things going on these days. She woke up to her first snowfall and loved going out in the brisk weather.

Later, because she has been so active, we decided to try Nina in the Johnny-jump-up. She had fun bouncing, spinning, and just standing. Many thanks to Abby!

Nina's bottom gums are also a bit swollen so it looks like her first teeth are on their way in the next month or so.

Giggling and Going

Tuesday was Nina's 4-month check up & she continues to be very well, despite a little congestion. We're so thankful for a healthy baby! She weighs 15 pounds on the dot, putting her in the 77th percentile and she's in the 75th percentile for height.

We received a few tips on how to help her ears adjust to the change in cabin pressure on the upcoming flights to and from our Florida Christmas vacation. She fussed when given the shots and then slept the vast majority of the evening.

Here's a video of Nina giggling a bit, and of her on the move. She also has a new trick that we're trying to get on tape for a future video. If you want to see a past video, we've created a movie library and a link is in the upper right.

Many thanks to all veterans, soldiers, service members and their families for such service and sacrifice.

More weekend fun

Nina made the most of her extra hour by visiting with family, making her first trip to the Mall of America, and sleeping a bit more. She had fun playing with Nana and showing off her new skills.

4 Months!

Nina turns the big 4 months today! She's celebrating with both grandmas, the lucky girl. She sends a hug to her family traveling in Europe. The latest video is a little long, but Nina thinks it's worth a look.

Halloween!

Nina had a lot of fun celebrating her first big holiday. She dressed up in her 'boo-hoo' sleeper, waited up for The Great Pumpkin, and handed out treats. She can see why it's Uncle Adam's favorite day of the year!

Nina appears to be coming down with a bit of a cold (runny nose, coughing, sneezing) so please send good thoughts towards a full recovery and strong anti-bodies.
