The Naks have been running all over and it's hard to believe that a quarter of the school year is already done. There's too much to say, so we'll just show you what we have been doing and how Nina makes it all a bit more entertaining. The last few days we've all been fighting colds of some sort, made worse by the fact that Nina says "no" much of her waking hours. Oh toddlerhood.

Boooo!
Halloween was a wonderful time with our little ghost. Nina looked great in the costume Nana made. She was pretty shy around the neighbors, and despite weeks of scaring people, she ended up on the other end of the scares for most of the night. She enjoyed taking part in trick-or-treating at the library with some other tots.
We have all been trying to take in the warm fall and the beautiful colors. Nina rarely stops, but usually does at this part of the neighborhood to smell the flowers... so inspirational! Lately, her favorite activity includes climbing on anything she can find, especially her little chairs. She has been pushing them all over the house to help her climb up on the couch, the guest bed, and she's even tried to open the back door.

Anoka Halloween Parade
The Naks took a trip to the birthplace of Halloween and watched their fun parade. Nina enjoyed some of the floats and loved the dog that was tied up nearby. We had a great time and were very impressed by the show. Another nice weekend, topped by the Huskers, Gophers, and Vikings all winning, who would've guessed?!

Balla!
Nina is into sports, sports, sports. Golf, basketball, soccer, baseball, she'll play 'em all. Like Terrell Owens, Nina held a workout for all the NFL teams and put together this video of her skills. Missing in this video is her many attempts to dribble a basketball and her current love for carrying and throwing her pink ball and the mini-basketball at the same time. This maneuver is always followed by laughter when they both go flying across the room.

Nah-nee
Nina is proud to be able to say her own name, too bad she's got it a bit backwards. She seems to think her name is pronounced "Nani."
On the way home from daycare today, Nina pointed out the window and asked, "wassat?" while pointing at an airplane. It was very cute and it's fun to be able to talk with her more these days.
Lastly, we finally found something that she didn't want to eat, even when hungry. We went to Punch Pizza today and the true Italian pizza pie must have been too sophisticated for her palate. She mostly ate parmesan cheese until we could get home and enjoy the usuals.

Go Big Red
Nana and Papa were in town for the Husker game and no one was happier than Nina. They had a great time together and Nina now shouts for them if she sees her ball, the remote control, the coffee pot, or the guest room. We had a great time at the game and really enjoyed using Don Hedges' tickets.
We made a trip over to Como to participate in the Zoo Boo. Nina was very excited about it all and loved seeing the other kids. She was a bit confused to see adults dressed up as animals, but took it all in stride.
