Home, sweet home

Kara and Vivian made their return home today and both seem to be doing really well.  We've had some visitors and Nina has enjoyed showing off her new sister.

Vivian Kathryn

The newest addition to the Nak family was born on July 9, 2012 at 1:19pm.  Vivian Kathryn weighed exactly 8 pounds and was exactly 19 inches.  Big sister Nina has been a big help, has gotten Vivian to stop crying on two occasions and has been telling her, "it's okay, baby," "HI BABY WIVYEN" and "don't worry bout it, baby."  Both baby and mama are doing very well!

Birthday Fun

Nina has been celebrating her birthday for almost a week and gotten to see all of her grandparents, aunts, and uncles (albeit never at the same time).  She's loved the fun and attention (which will need to be shared starting tomorrow).  We are truly blessed to be surrounded by so many happy and caring people!  Nina has enough toys to last for the next decade, believe us.

Two Years Old

It is crazy to think that Nina is already two.  She's running, laughing, and talking all the time and it's impossible to imagine life without her.  We feel extremely lucky and think that the next two years will bring even more fun and surprises.

Jake and Kelsey!

Nina has been so lucky to get to spend time with all her aunts and uncles recently and has been thrilled to finally get to spend some quality time with Jake and Kelsey.  We've been wandering all over the twin cities and gotten to participate in quite a few firsts.  Kelsey's first trip to Minnesota, Nina's first amusement park ride, our first time meeting a Nickelodeon celebrity, first day without a nap, etc.  Jake's happy to report that he's crossed off all of his MN wish list for this trip.  We're happy to report that Nina's been in good spirits for all of the gallivanting.

...beat the heat!  It's been mighty hot here lately, so the Naks have found some new fun.  We took a trip to the Science Museum and had a fantastic time.  Nina participated in some experiments, saw some crazy videos, and did a lot of running around.
