Spring? Break

Well, we're still full of snow, but there's no work (for ben), so we'll take whatever we can get.  Despite the snow, we went out for ice cream and also went to the zoo and Rock the Cradle with Maggie, Annie, and Adam.  The girls had a fun time, enjoyed some dancing, and played some games.

Vivian has started to clap her hands, wave, and give high fives.  She will now try to share her toys (usually ones she's been sucking on) and put them up to your face.  She still likes music, loved watching the polar bears, has started scooting around, but her favorite thing to watch & play with is still her big sister.

Having fun

The Naks have been very busy the last day and a half, taking in the Children's Museum, swimming, the movie Brave, and the Saint Patrick's Day Parade.  The girls have been thrilled at every step and Vivian seems more and more interested in everything around her.

Also, we've been anticipating the day that Vivian starts taking Nina's toys and for the most part, Nina has been good about sharing.  But, the other day, Nina was not happy to have her tower taken a part and this is what we got:

V8

Vivian's eight month birthday has come quickly.  She's acting like a bigger girl nowadays, feeding herself puffs, sleeping in her crib in her room (for part of the night), giving hugs and kisses, and rolling all over.  She has started sharing her food and offering her toys to us, usually after she's slobbered all over them.

Nina continues to be a great big sister, helping with diaper changes, bringing Vivian toys, and getting kleenex when needed.

SNOW DAY!!

It's hard to believe it ever happened, but the girls and Dad are enjoying a day off.  We've danced, played outside, shoveled, listened to Christmas music, made Mickey Mouse pancakes, and our day is only half over!

Vivian has started to eat some puffs and tries to feed herself.  Nina is in another "why" stage, so that's fun.  She also has an excellent memory; the girls went to Linder's for the first time in at least half a year and she wanted to know where the bird was.  She saw a wrapped bundle and said that the she'll be the stork from Dumbo and carry it.  We asked her to remember a few things for the grocery store and she got that too, who needs a list?  We're overdue for a photo update, so here ya go!
