The cold spring continues and school is slogging along. Both girls have field trips coming up, which will be a pleasant break from the MCA tests. We enjoyed Easter at Yaya's house, and have celebrated some fun birthdays with Cora, Suzie, Papa (today!), and soon, Charlie.
February and March were cruising along and we've finally found some warmer temps. We recently took a family bike ride and have resumed our mostly-daily runs around the lake. Prior to the warm-up, we had a nice spring break that didn't feel very springish. A lot of sledding, some ice skating, bowling, reading and eating kept us busy. The highlight was a family trip to go curling. We had a lot of fun and the girls were pumped to beat their parents in the mini-game.
We're thankful that February is such a short month as it hasn't been especially kind. The family got covid, we had some plumbing issues, and it was dang cold. But things are looking up as we're all close to 100%, the weather is warming, and we've been able to hang out with family and friends again. We got to celebrate the birthdays of Nana and Grandpa Rod. Another highlight of the month was spending the night on a house-boat! Sitting on the Mississippi, we enjoyed a beautiful sunset, had some good food, and played some new card games Nana and Papa taught us.
