Halvesies and 2024

2024 was a year of paradox: laughs, learning, new experiences and fun, coupled with some of the most emotional and devastating circumstances we've ever faced. Saying goodbye to our beloved Nana is too hard to even think about. To feature some of the highlights, school went well for everyone, we saw AJR and weezer in concert, we got to see a lot of family, we saw the MN orchestra 4 times, and ate a lot of ice cream.  Pip got into trick skating and Nina did more babysitting.  Our roadtrip to Arizona made for some of the coolest pictures of the year.

Very sad

It has been a difficult few months and we are extremely saddened that Nana has passed away.  She meant so much to us and life won't be the same without her.  Jenni was always up for anything and even joined us in our post-college kickball, was always willing to learn new games, played four-square with the girls and was a big part of our trip to Europe.  We feel lucky that Nina and Vivian got to spend good times with her and make fond memories.  Even when Nana lost her ability to speak, she told the girls that she loved them "bigger than the sky."  The girls say that the color chartreuse will always remind them of her.  We simply don't have the words right now.  She will forever be in our hearts.

Numbvember

November has been rough and there's a lot going on.  We are all heartbroken at this time as Nana has entered hospice car for her terminal cancer.  It's been a very emotional time and Kara has spent a lot of time in Nebraska.

We're very thankful for the girls and their kind hearts and maturity.  We've had some fun times this last month and here are a few photos of it all.  Pip was proud to be student of the quarter in three classes and both girls were on the honor roll.  Nina was proud of her work in a Chinese competition and she thinks she might have earned a trophy for later in the year.  We've been spending some time together playing nintendo switch with boomerang fu and mario party.
