End of Kara's carefree summer

It is sad that our super-fun summer is somewhat ending.  Kara headed back to work full-time and the girls now cling to her even more when she's around.  The Fitz fam got together to meet young Connor and Nina had fun playing with Emma.  Great-Grandpa Don had his hands full.

The girls have started playing together a bit more and Vivian can now say Nina's name.  She looks for her in the morning and always wants to knock on her door to wake her up.  They laugh together a lot, fight a lot, and Vivian has been winning some of the latest battles.  Nina was reading Vivian a book in the car recently and Vivian danced and sang along to "Old MacDonald."

We've still been getting out and enjoying this beautiful weather with more trips to Como, the pool, parks, the zoo, and we even spent some time at Irish Fair.  The girls loved the dancing, music, and Irish dogs, and they even did a bit of dancing in the kids' tent.  Next week brings the Japanese lantern festival, so we'll have to find a German event so the girls can get their trifecta. ;)

The Naks continue their quest to pack as much fun into summer as possible and have gotten to see even more friends and more sights.  Nina and Vivian are starting to learn how to play together nicely, but the fight for toys continues.

We took another trip to Nebraska to hit up the Batz Family Reunion.  The girls loved meeting some new family and hanging out on the beach.  Nana and Papa were full of good times and we managed a stop at the Schreiner residence as well.

Since Como has live performances of "Grease" (ewwww) this past week, we've gotten the opportunity to visit other lakes and have been spending some time in Minneapolis.  We caught a free concert at Lake Harriet, went to the the North Mississippi Regional Park with Jimmy and Emma, wandered Lake Calhoun, and went to a going away party on the other side of the river.  The girls have enjoyed it all and seem to like life on the go.

Ahhh, where is summer going!?

It is already late July and Kara's summer is quickly coming to an end.  We've been all over the place and having fun with all we do.  We loved getting to hear Ben's cousin Erin play at Como, we've hung out a lot with neighbor Miles, Cousin Maggie came for a sleepover, and we went for a pool date with Cecilia and her mom, Mary Sue.  Here are pics and descrips.
