Annual photos

We've been back in Shanghai for a few days and are trying to get over the jet lag.  The girls have been reunited with some of their toys, their bikes, and neighborhood swimming.  It was a great trip to America and we had the chance to take our annual Como photos.  Also, Annie was kind enough to take photos of the family and the girls with their cousins on the Nak side. We're excited to see and be with the girls' newest cousin, Paige Marie, who was born on July 28 to Jake and Kelsey. 

More summer fun

Our time in the states has come to a close, but it's been another lovely summer.  We've had such fun with family and friends.  We've been able to watch more of the Twins this summer, and Ben and Rod are reading Game of Thrones so we've found it funny that the names Marwin and Sansa have come back around to us.  About 6 years ago, Nina named the Elf on the Shelf "Marwin" and Vivian called Santa "Sansa."  Who knew that they would later be actual names of a Twins player and a well-known character in pop culture.

Our summer trip to Nebraska has been a wonderful time.  The girls have had lots of fun despite the crazy heat.  Multiple trips to splash pads, some good library books, bowling, and a jump zone have helped us beat the 100+ degree temps.  The girls have played with many of Kara's old toys and have enjoyed running their own restaurant, which even employs remote-controlled cars to deliver the orders.  Playing with sparklers, a trip to the Henry Doorly Zoo, the Omaha CC with (second) cousins, and many park trips have made for a memorable Nebraska stay.
