Starting school and skipping school

School started and life is already busy.  Nina has been doing a lot with band - pep, jazz, and regular.  Pip is still doing gymnastics.  Both girls have been doing some Chinese as well; Nina is a TA at the Saturday school for the 1st graders in addition to her AP exam prep class.  

More excitingly, we all skipped school/work to go to Mexico!  We made our way to Mexico City for a Stray Kids concert and things started out crazy when the girls spotted the lead member of the group when we arrived at the airport.  We navigated the metro to our hotel and enjoyed being near many of the cool markets and sites.  We wandered around on Friday and went to the museum of anthropology, a Michelin star taco place, and lots of fun neighborhoods.  Saturday was the big day of the show and it didn't disappoint!  

We had a spectacular time and we were sad to leave so quickly.  We would have liked to have gotten to see the pyramids and a few other areas in the city.  On a long, drawn-out layover, we managed to see Ben's good friend from China when he swung by the airport for a quick minute.  We arrived back in MSP around 3am and our house around 4:15am.  Eeek.  But still totally worth it.
