Three Years Old!

Nina has grown so fast and we are truly impressed by and in love with our oldest daughter.  She is thoughtful, helpful, inquisitive, sharp, and she makes us laugh every single day.  This year she has taken on the roll of big sister quite well and is often trying to help Vivian, hug her, tell her "you're so cute," teach her new ideas, sing to her, and tell her "no."  Best of all, she gave her little sister the nickname "Pip."  Nina loves to go outside, act out movies, sing songs from Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood, and play games.  This year she has learned how to use the potty, read numbers, look both ways before crossing streets, and what it really means to share.

Our road trip to Nebraska has come and gone too quickly and the girls had so much fun.  Vivian loved her first cake and Nina continued to enjoy all her birthday gifts like the glow sticks, wish lantern, and sprinkler.

They did as well as we could hope in the car with some awfully cute moments and some flat-out awful moments.  On the good side, the girls invented a few games together that made them both laugh, they would sometimes read together (this usually ended in fighting for the book), and our favorite is that Vivian would clap for Nina when she sang with the radio.
